Griffin Creek canyon back under threat from hydro scheme

Griffin Creek is a mega-classic of New Zealand, and is under threat again by a hydro scheme. The Department of Conservation appears to be enabling the expansion and increased environmental impact of a hydro-electricity scheme through the backdoor of a non-notified concession variation.
